My mole is removed
I have a hole in my back
Please send me brandy

The doctor was lovely. It didn't hurt much beyond having the anaesthetic injection, and it just feels hot now. She is sending the mole off to the hospital for biopsy just to be sure, but she says she's 99.5% certain it's nothing to worry about. I have three stitches and a ruddy great Elastoplast, and I have to go back next Thursday to have the stitches out. Dr Reed says the worst bit will be pulling the plaster off LOL.

I have to be gentle and not do anything which might pull or impact on it. This means no karate until next Thursday at the earliest. I'm allowed to go climbing as long as I am gentle, and I'm not allowed to walk the dogs if they are likely to pull - which they are. I'm also not allowed to get it wet, which will make bathtime interesting.

[personal profile] amazing_holly and [personal profile] matgb have both been lovely. Holly gave me extra gentle hugs and then covered me with her cardigan to make sure I was warm enough, and Mat is being all attentive and nice. And I have another day off work tomorrow, which will help.

All in all, it could have been lots worse.

Would you prefer tea or alcohol?

i don't know if you've had stitches before, but if not, it'll look much worse than it is. it's GREAT you got it removed. it'll heal up a treat if you follow those instructions, and now, there's no more mole to worry about. :-)

perhaps you could have called it Adrian?

it's a mark. like others, it'll fade. it might be bruised at first, and look all pokey and franken-moley. once the stitches are out and it can heal on its own, it'll heal well. your bod'll be adjusting to what's happened and adjusting to having it gone.

i had one removed from my thigh. now, it's an eyelid shape, but with no "stitch" spots, and the size of a fingernail. it's completely flat, flush with the skin.

i like my scars. ... i just... do!

I'm glad you got de-moled successfully.

I hope the tests reveal it was harmless. And then I hope they use it to make an army of SB clones! :D
