Rather than doing a Thoughts From the Train á la Lady Mark (partly because I'm not as profound as him, and partly because the wifi on the train kept crapping out on me, and thus I'm not actually posting this from the train...) I'm going to post a bunch of song lyric couplets, in roughly chronological order of how they popped into my head over recent days. Not all of them are strictly relevant so I wouldn't bother trying to attach them to a particular situation if I were you, but points for anyone who can identify them all.

Karate tonight was... interesting. We had a mock for my belt grading and I think I did OK, except for the fact that my outside block is still woeful. This has led to the frankly bonkers idea getting into my head that I'm going to have to teach Mat how to do chudan punches so I can practise blocking them...

In unrelated news, one of the things that a certain Mr Strange was telling me this week was that he doesn't think he's rock 'n' roll enough. I think you guys should judge for yourselves:
