We have watched the first disc of season 2 of Heroes from lovefilm. It hasn't grabbed me at all, and George Takei is dead. Should we persevere through the series, or follow my gut instinct and knock the rest of it off the list so we can watch other things? Mohinder's pretty is not enough to keep me watching, I fear...

It gets a little better, but not a lot.

The writers' strike meant that some plot lines get abandoned when they move onto season 3, which is a partial reboot anyway as none of the new characters from season 2 continue.

I'm watching season 4 now on the beeb and personally I'd rate the seasons 1 >> 3 > 4 >> 2 but each season has some stand out episodes so I'm glad I'm stuck with it. YMMV.

And I realised after I switched the computer off that I'm currently watching seaosn 5 not 4, so what do I know about anything anyway?

It's the season of fail but I'd watch the rest just so that season 3 (which is good) makes more sense.

(after a brief moment of frantic wikipediaing)

Christ, woman, don't do that to me!

Um... it's Heroes. It's got time travel. He might come back. Personally, I gave up halfway through season 1.

Don't bother. I've given up on Heroes now, and essentially everything after the end of season 1 was wasted time.

I loved Season 1. I wish I'd just stopped watching then. I have all of the episodes from the current season on my DVR just in case I change my mind, but I've given up on it.

I loved season 1 but thought season 2 was a bit meh, we gave up on season 3 half way through but the pvr means we are watching season 4 and its picking up but not so much that I would recommend people carry on unless they haven't got anything better to watch

For better things to watch I would recommend Chuck or Warehouse 13

Season two and three are both utter utter shite, devoted to rehashing old X-Men plots and systematically killing off or humiliating all the characters who aren't rich straight white men.

Season 2 is pretty poor. Season 3 is even worse. I actually stoppped watching around ep 10 of S3 and haven't gone back to it. However, coincidentally I was informed by someone yesterday that S4 is much better.

Well I'm still watching it and still like it.

I forget when/who exactly but in 3 and 4 they mess around quite a bit with the question of who the good guys and bad guys are. And I've always liked the way even the most evil characters have grey areas.

I kept hoping for it to get better and I stuck it out until partway through Season 3.

If you're losing patience with it in Season 2, get out while you still can. It was full to the brim of suckyfail by Season 3.

I was so disappointed by the ending to Season 1 that I never even bothered to try with Season 2, so you don't want to listen to me.
