Random Thoughts of the day - mostly political
Thursday, April 8th, 2010 05:53 pm- Lots of very expensive-looking
Vote Craig Whittaker - Conservative
posters have gone up around here. Is it bad of me to want to get a tin of spray paint and scrawlDON'T
across the top of them all? - I wish I had more money to buy lots of big yellow birdie posters and put them up in suitable locations :(
- Watching the aborion debate happen on twitter (yes, apparently there still IS a debate) is a bizarre experience
- Why is it only ever teenagers who accuse other people of being immature?
- If the tories have changed so much under Cameron, why are their big priorites bringing back fox-hunting, bringing back national service, and lowering the time limit on abortion?
Given the philosophy I put forward in this post, I reluctantly link to the video.

It might be bad of you to admit such a desire in a public blog post, now that you're a Legitimate Political Candidate and all. If anybody does it now it's going to be your fault.
I'm strongly tempted to head down to West Yorks with a can of spray paint....
> Why is it only ever teenagers who accuse other people of being immature?
I've had the opposite experience. It's only ever adults I've seen called childish, never children.

Date: Thursday, April 8th, 2010 07:08 pm (UTC)I can't really imagine a decent debate on anything taking place on Twitter - not a real proper debate. I can imagine misogyny abounds in the one you mention. Had better stay out of it as I suspect it'll make me cross.
My niece turned 13 yesterday and was heartily fed up that everyone suddenly expected her to stop washing, have greasy hair and start slamming doors. She is one of the loveliest, sweetest girls ever.
And you have actually made me cry. I haven't been at a Glee Club in 12 years and I miss the drunken bonkersness of it all.

I've not seen a tory sticker in a window yet... just in fields where the tory bastard landowners have given permission. They still only get one vote though.
