Lib Dem Voice have done a risible attempt at a How Lib Dem Are You? test. Here's a more realistic one:

Update: And of course, there is the very important and probably unanswerable question 14, as formulated by Andrew Hickey in the comments below:

14. Do you instinctively reject binary yes/no answers to more complicated questions? Yes/No/Depends/What?/Define Instinctively/Fnord/Remind me again what Mill says about it...?/Even asking that question proves you're really a Tory/I know a humorous song attacking the Limp Dims from 1982 that that question reminds me of/insert humorous cat picture here.

Not including question 14, I score 11/13 (but only because I am counting my skinned and bruised chin as bearded)

I get eight, but I do think I should get extra points for the beard being as beardy as it is...

Dammit, I missed "do you instictively argue with the questions on this sort of survey?"... ;)

Nice work - and yes, the questions are way better than on the other one. I got nine: 1, 3, 4, 5, 7 (well, AV anyway), 8, 9, 11 (macramé) and 13.

Now if you were to marinate that macramé beard in a pot of yoghurt, would you get extra bonus points?

I got five out of 13! And I'm not even British!

On the other hand, even my mother thinks the Lib Dems are great, and she's a member of Australia's religious right. ("Aw yeah, if you believe in a deity of some kind, that's bonza. Now, down to the pub.")

8/13 for me, and now it's been suggested, I think I'm going to call my hoover the USS Ashdown. (It eerily resembles the Enterprise-D, even down to where they've stuck the model number.)

Not only do I talk about STV in the pub, but we use STV to decide which pub we're going to go to.

Does naming a cat "Riso" count as yes or no to #6?
And is having eight false moustaches an honorary yes for #2?

I only got 4 (5 if "not being arsed to shave for 3 days" counts as having a beard)for 1-13. Admittedly I might well score the Dr Who points if my kids weren't too scared for me to watch it.

How are scores assigned for 14?

You left out a space around the edge of the questionnaire, in which you could write comments about how the questions didn't cover all the possibilities / weren't sufficiently nuanced.

I write as the proud owner of a large Teddy bear that I won for picking David Heath as the MP it most resembled. That must be worth points.

I got 10/14 (assuming that 14 is short-hand for 'you instinctively refuse questionnaires without a write-in option and can't stop yourself from using the back of the sheet to offer suggestions for next time/critique the bloody stupid question that asks you to discuss things that haven't happened yet/ticky boxes are coming to consume us all'.

Oh only 5/13. Dr Who is OK, but Babylon 5 was better. Tried having a beard, but it took as much grooming as not having one.

Can I have a bonus point for talking about Meek-STV in the pub, also the Church of England rules for STV with quotas, Weighted Inclusive Gregory, the rationale for the Droop quota over the Hare quota, etc. At least I would talk about these in the pub if anybody would listen.

Well, you need to come up for lib drinks mor eoften, Tez and I'll listen.

CofE rules for STV? They have their own version? I should probably know this already.

It's a deal. My plan to get a regular Sheffield contingent going, some of whom will drive doesn't seem to be working. Need a plan B.

Yes the CofE have their own version, closer to the ERS 1976 rules than to the 1997 rules. But I wasn't talking about that, rather their methods for electing for electing committees with quotas of so many bishops, so many laity; and simultaneously so many from England/Scotland/Wales, or that sort of thing, all in a single STV election.

3/13 = pass?

i suppose it's appropriate that you only need 3/13 to pass the lib dem test since it took only 3/13 votes for the lib dems to get government

I only got 5 I'm afraid but if I get an honorary beard in recognition of my hairy shoulders and upgrade liking Doctor Who to an obsession I could do much better. If I had a pet, I'd probably call it Campbell-Bannerman. And David Heath used his ex-optician's voodoo to diagnose my slightly squished glasses frames, which must count for something.

I strongly dislike sandals though and possess none.
