Seeking Nominations For Miss SB's Very Prestigious and Entirely Serious Blog Awards

Due to popular Demand*, I am going to run my own series of blog awards again. I am seeking nominations in the following categories:

Best Political Blog (e.g. Caron's Musings, Helen Duffett)

Best Fandom Blog (e.g. lizbee, Den of Geek)

Best Feminist Blog (e.g. Feminist Law Professors, Pink Stinks)

Wittiest Blog (e.g. FailBlog, BBC Comedy Blog)

Prettiest Blog design (e.g. Thagomizer, Jon Ball)

Sexiest Blogger (e.g. Penny Red, djm4)

Best Beardy Blogger (e.g. burkesworks, my own dear wife).

Best Non-human Blogger (e.g. Millennium Elephant, Pink Dog)

Geekiest Blogger (e.g. davegodfrey, Geeka Chicas)

Best Sex Positive Blog (e.g. Yes Means Yes, Modern Poly)

Each category will have a number blogs selected from the nominations, and there will be a public vote as to who wins each category. The winners of each category will be put forward in a public vote for the overall Best Blog award.

Anonymous nominations are allowed. You can nominate in as few or as many categories as you like. Blogs with multiple authors are also allowed in any of the categories. A blog must have been updated in the last quarter (three months) to be eligible. I reserve the right to reject nominations for entirely capricious and self-serving reasons, just like every other set of blog awards. The only difference is, I don't try and hide it.

Nominations close on SUNDAY at MIDNIGHT, that's in three days' time, at which point comments on this entry will be closed. So get nominating!

Best Political Blog: djm4 (though he doesn't blog a lot, I did love his posts in the run-up to the election about why he's a Liberal.)
Best Fandom Blog: I don't read fandom, alas.
Best Feminist Blog: Mothers for Women's Lib (although I'm not a mother, I love reading it for potential future tips and generally the good stuff that is linked.)
Wittiest Blog: nanaya often makes me giggle :)
Prettiest Blog design: yours is pretty awesome :)

Hmm.

This is a good question. Officially, Twiiter is classed as a microblogging platform, and therefore is a subtype of blog.

However, to include Twitter is to include Facebook Status and Notes and a whole chunk of other stuff.

So it depends how SB is defining 'blog' for the purpose of this award, I'm inclined to say no, because Twitter is a different medium with different comment structure and similar, and I think this should be for non-micro-blogs, but a) it's not my call and b) I'm not sure I'm right.

No more than three nominations per category, and no blog (or blogger) gets nominated more than once. Being a liberal (or a good egg), I define blog to include anything bloglike.
