Have to Go Get a Train Soon, But Wanted To Say...

... Thanks to everyone who voted for me in the Total Bollocks Willy-Waving Contest. This makes the top ten Lib Dem Willy-Wavers approach gender balance, as there are myself, Caron and Sara in the top ten, and the very top site, despite what Count Packula would have you believe, is pretty much run by Mummy Helen, with TechnoRyan for the technical stuff.

It would be nice to see more bloggers of colour and LGBTers up there as well, but perhaps that's a campaign for next year.

I shall be making proper badges for the mantelpiece when I get home from visiting Posh Boy tomorrow. Hopefully.

If we *must* have identity politics in blogging, let there be more Northerners. I spy only seven in the 75 (and Far Northerners don't count for these purposes).

Ah well, you see, there's another minefield. Mummy Helen, f'r'instance, is a Yorksher lass, but she's naturalised herself in London. Does she count as Northern? And what about Mat, who is now as happily Yorksher as the white rose, but was born in Devon?

I think Caron's covered pretty similar ground here on what constitutes a Scottish blogger; and by that token Helen and Mat would both qualify. Anyway we need the numbers to hold off the shandy-drinkers!

The first I'll give you, but three openly LGBT in the top ten isn't enough for you? 3/7ths of the single-author blogs are written by someone gay or bi, that's not bad.

So does that make me the top LGBT blogger in the Lib Dems. Wow!!! That is an acheivement within our party.

I'm not the top blogging member of Delga though as I know Caron is a member.
