So I went to the doctor today about my migraines. And while I was there I mentioned the odd pain I have been getting in my abdomen. The migraines are not an issue, it transpires. I just needed better painkillers. The pain in the abdomen, though... There's a lump in the wombal area. And it might be fibroids, and it might be ovarian cysts, and it might be some kind of tumour, or I could be pregnant (even though I have been having normal Time of the Moth) or it could be something else. And I have to go and have a scan to find out.

The joy of it is that if I am pregnant, it's much more likely to be ectopic because of the coil... And to think yesterday I was all steamed up about the spending review, and how we are hitting the poor and the sick, and dealing the badly housed a double whammy of evil... Of course, those things still matter, but now? Now things are focussed differently.

Blogging may be light for a while. Sorry.

It's very likely nothing serious, but having been through a similar situation, I understand your worry. x

Maybe naming it like you did would help.

You don't need to take it home, but maybe you could call it George. Or Gideon.

Thinking of you Jennie. ((((hugs))))

Naming it does make it easier to curse and swear at. "Jerry" turned out to be a large chocolate cyst as part of my endometriosis. Hopefully your thing is less serious.

Sorry to hear that. I hope it turns out not to be too bad. My mum had fibroids in her late 30s, and she's fine and going strong now at 66.

Scary, I know. I remember how petrified I was with the lump in the neck last year. That came to nothing & it's more than likely this will too. Hugs in the meantime. Hope your scan happens sooner than the 6 weeks mine took. In meantime, do what you can to distract yourself. Love Cx

The uncertainty doesn't help - I hope that you get a diagnosis and that it's the least worst possibility. Have a Sixth Doctor.
