News of a sort

Got a phone call from the hospital earlier today. They have an appointment slot tomorrow afternoon - must have been a cancellation to be that fast, I reckon - so I am going to go see the specialist at about 2.30 tomorrow.

Speculation is rife. My mum had fibroids at about my age - well, she'd had them for ages, but was diagnosed at my age - and has told me all about how awful they are. I have had messages from people telling me a bout other stuff too. Apparently the most likely option for a person my age is an ovarian cyst.

Whatever Gideon is, I hope I will know tomorrow, and I hope that it's easily dealt with. It's been sat there aching dully all day and it's getting old. The only thing that seems to relive it is being in water, which means that Holly and I spent two and a half hours at the swimming pool this afternoon. She was proudly showing me how she could swim underwater, and making me pretend to be a water zombie and chase her for her brains.

More news as I get it.

If I were a religious person, I would be praying for you. As it is, I'm just sending healing vibes your way and hoping it's something boring and dealt with without too much hassle.

*hugs*

My mother never played water zombies with me. *is jealous of Holly* How are water zombies different from land zombies? Do they eat fish brains? Or mermaid brains? Do fish/mermaid brains taste different from people brains? I MUST KNOW. Ask Holly for me!

(I am talking about frivolous things instead of the obvious in a cack-handed attempt to make you feel better. I hope it worked. If not, apologies for my sucking at this sort of thing.)

While fibroids and cysts don't sound pleasant, both sound better than other options, so those being most likely is comforting. All crossable parts crossed for you.

A friend had an ovarian cyst diagnosed and removed when she was twenty-two, and that was seventeen years ago. She has thrived since and I hope you do too.

That's great that you were able to get an appointment so quickly. Not knowing can be the hardest part, so with luck that part will be over after tomorrow.

Hang in there, and give Holly an extra hug for being so awesome. (If I have dreams about water zombies tonight, I'm blaming her. Just so you know.)

Thinking of you... there was a mum in one of my classes I teach the other day who looked like you, only not so awesome, and it made me giggle.

I've had ovarian cysts in the past, nothing of that size though, which just resolved on their own, but the pain was yucky... sending good vibes for it all to go away.

Thinking of you. I hope today's appointment goes well and that it's one of the least-bad-case scenarios.

Good luck - glad to hear they got you an appointment so fast!

My Mum had an ovarian cyst diagnosed in her early 30s, made a full recovery once it was removed. I was produced afterwards as well (does that count as a full recovery? maybe not...).

Tentacles crossed for you!

It's good that they can see you so quickly. I hope they find out that it's something they can treat easily, and you'll be better soon! *hugs*

I hope they clean the pool after water zombies have been in it! O_O

Thinking of you. I had fibroids removed years ago and it's been a non-issue since. I hope it's the same with you.

Adding my good wishes to the bunch. I hope it's something that's easily taken care of.
