miss_s_b: Peter Falk as Columbo saying "just one more thing" (Mood: And another thing)

Just a quick note before I drag myself into work. Episode one of my new podcast is out now, so if you've got 46 minutes to spare at some point and you'd give it a listen I'll be grateful.

Constructive crit gratefully recieved. I know there are some sound quality issues, and I have already had some advice on that from m'freind in Ealing. Content-wise, though... Do you think we're striking the right balance? Do you have a contribution for the audience participation topic? Do you want to enter the Exciting CompetitionTM?

Do let me know.

At the risk of being mentioned in future Podcasts...

To my ears aleast, perhaps alittle too much of the 'dedede_dahdah' organ.

The piece on Doctor Who Live could perhaps have been little tighter; no idea what the rules are regarding recording devices at such shows but some clips might have added something to the piece. Or perhaps a soundbite from your young lass as to the show's merits (or otherwise) as the point was made about who the show was aiming to please.

The piece on television advertisements didn't really work for me; a commentary (pisstake) on a adbreak might work in a Vidcast but not for this particular listener in a Podcast.

As regards remakes; personally I prefer Zac Synder's remake of 'Dawn of the Dead' to the original.

Remakes that are better...

The Pink Panther, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Psycho, King Kong (both remakes), The Wicker Man...

I'm sorry.

The Thing *might* just edge it as better than The Thing From Another World, maybe.
I think a case can be made that the Cushing version of Dalek Invasion of Earth is slightly preferable to the TV original.
