For about 18 months now, I have been wanting a hat. This might sound like an easy quest, but I have a weird-shaped head, and it's very difficult to find a hat that I don't look a total pillock in. On Monday, I found it. The friend that I was with at the time made a contribution to the purchase, knowing my financial situation, otherwise I would not have been able to justify buying it.

It's the perfect hat.

It's exactly what I wanted.

...and my seven year old daughter looks way cooler in it than I ever will.

Awww, she does look fab.

I also generally look ridiculous in hats and yet I love them - they're an awesome accessory!- so I feel your pain!

It's a good hat, I bet it looks pretty darn fantastic on you too :) xxx

Awesome hat is awesome. Being able to knit hats that didn't make me look stupid was a rather excellent side effect of taking up knitting. Weaselx

You look bloody good in it yourself, too, though.
(Disclaimer: never having seen you without the hat, I don't know your base level of cool. Maybe you look that cool all the time anyway.)

I sympathise, because I also have a weird shaped head that doesn't suit hats.

Eeeee! Holly looks really grown up! Tell her to stop!

From that photo, I'm really expecting her to say, "Thank you - that's what I wanted to know!"

I think she looks like she knows how to field-strip a sniper rifle in 30 seconds. That's a bit scary!

Kind of shows.

So do we get a pic of you in the hat?

Hahah, yea get a plastic tommy-gun and a kid-sized pinstripe zoot suit and you've got one kickass halloween costume! XD

I have two trilbys, three panamas, an Australian slouch hat, and lots of baseball caps. I like hats - I also have some relatively serious sun problems (OK, not in January, I'll admit) so I do have to wear them to prevent getting ill with sunstroke.

Want to borrow some sometime?
