A few sample pages of The Phoenix were given away with The Times on Saturday. The full comic is only available, IIRC, from Waitrose supermarkets, or on subscription, which shows what a risky venture it is.

> Labour do not tend to win elections because of Scotland

So if we pull up the drawbridge we're not throwing you to the wolves quite as badly as I thought. Makes me feel a little better.

I see the Blood is flowing again; this is good.

Plenty of good dog-walking country up here. And your mum can come too. Probably safer for her pension if she does.

Thus Speaks All Of Scotland.

Not only are the links flowing again, but the first one in forever is Dr Who. Normal service is resumed. Welcome back.

Here's comics artist Lew Stringer's review of The Phoenix 1. And some comments of variable quality. The comic I've not seen, seeing as how the nearest Waitrose is an hour's walk away. Lew's blog, that I do recommend.

It's an incredibly poor and hurried article written before work, but my Helium piece on changes to the ICT curriculum today includes my thoughts on the subject from the perspective of a frustrated French teacher.
