... really is a load of old bobbins, isn't it? I love the depth of feeling with which Tom suggests going to the pub in the first episode, and the interaction between Tom and Lis is a joy, as always, but really, whose idea was it that they'd make the doorways so low that everyone has to duck? And Roy Skelton has never sounded more Zippy-like... I think I enjoyed Invasion of the Dinosaurs more. I wish we'd shown it to [personal profile] innerbrat while she was here, though. Her incredulity at it's crapness would have been worth having to tie her down and force her to watch it... ;)

In other news, thanks to personalised tech support from it's creator, the lovely [personal profile] andrewducker, I have finally got autoposting set up for link posts. But tomorrow morning there may be a double post, and it might contain some of the links that were in today's post. This is partly due to a time period overlap, and partly due to me clicking the wrong thing. After tomorrow morning it should be fine, though.

And this was before the revalation that Milton Johns hadn't taken his eye patch off in two years... and "I've deactivated all the androids. Oh, apart from this one." And the Tardis having a pause control - never mentioned before, never mentioned since. And no-one at space control saying to Johns - "Nice eyepatch. So where d'you get that from while you were in orbit round Jupiter?"

Well, you know, I could carry on... Oh bugger it, I will carry on.

There's the fact that the Kraals have built a perfect replica of the village on their home planet because - well, just because they felt like it apparently. The village is based on Crayford's memories from 2 years earlier, so why's Harry there when he wasn't in UNIT two years earlier? And how does Crayford know Benton's recently been promoted? Come to that, if it's all relying on Crayford's memories from 2 years earlier, then he should think the Doctor's still a lisping half-man half-granny with pretentions of being Chuck Norris and a scary bouffant. And why's Sarah's android wearing a scarf when she lost it before she was kidnapped and replicated? And the androids are perfect in every respect, other than remembering whether they're supposed to like ginger beer. And Styggron's virus is lethal to humanity, but when it's released, it kills him and no-one else. And Sarah's android when it's trying to fool the Doctor goes out of its way to tell him that there's android replicas wandering around the village. And why the fuck is Crayford wearing a cravat under his spacesuit? Is his spaceship really a Jag?

And I love you as well.

It's been pointed out to me that there is more than a passing resemblance between the opening scenes of the Android Invasion, and the opening scenes of the Dalek Invasion of Earth.
