As much as I'm looking forward to Prometheus, I hate Fassbender's guts as well. I want to throw up when people squee over him or bend over backwards to defend what he did.

What did he do? I don't think I've ever seen a film with this bloke, though it's a name I've been hearing a lot in the last couple of years.

Jennie mentioned it in her post- but mainly he beat his girlfriend.

Ah, I saw the 'Wifebeater' but wondered if it was a play on his name rather than literal.

It's been airbrushed from his Wiki entry (which was why I asked rather than just googling. I could see from search results that I was likely to come up with an image that would get me into trouble at work very quickly). Glad I've never paid any cash to see him act, basically.

I'd never heard of the womanbeating thing about him either, but a google search turned up this thread, which shows he's certainly been accused of it, but that it's still completely open as to whether he did it (unlike, say, Chris Brown): http://ology.com/post/56347/my-big-problem-with-michael-fassbender

On housing, I question their figures. As someone who moved to Richmond on Thames last year, I'd have killed for a one bedroom flat for £975 a month. As it is I have a studio for a little bit more, and it was about the cheapest place I could find. Presumably the median figure takes social housing into account, but doesn't that sort of defeat the point of an affordability study?
