I think if my soul was going to be a flying thing it'd be a fruit bat; fat and greedy and sporadically flapping but never really soaring... And I think I'm happier with that than I would be being some skinny elegant bird that everyone admired for her grace but nobody ever really wondered about how she feels. Also, bats are way cooler than birds, TRUFAX, even if birds ARE just dinosaurs with feathers.
