OH YES. I've been saying this for ages - that everyone from city dog catcher up to the blasted President of the United States should just be *drafted* - like jury duty or whatever. Every adult citizen who hasn't been convicted of a violent felony or whatever, their name goes in the bucket. You get pulled, you go do your civic duty for 2 or 4 years or whatever, and then you're out. That and ban lobbyists. (Reply to this)
