I have been given antibiotics, and been told to take paracetamol for pain/temperature, and to eat lots of fresh fruit and veg for vitamins and make sure my fluid intake is high. The eating part could be a problem - I haven't managed anything thicker than milk for two days.

Still, at least that explains why everything aches - lungs not working properly, not enough oxygen to tissues, tissues complain. Looks like another couple of days in bed for me till antibiotics kick in :(

Soup is always good until you can manage something more substantial. Even the tinned stuff is better than nothing.

Also, my brain's first reaction was a smug "Yay, right again!" because my brain is a bit of a dick.

Ugh, sorry to hear this! I had a lung infection last year, so know how grim it can be.

Maybe you could try fruit juice until you're able to eat something more solid? Mango is quite good for when you're ill, as it is very sweet, so gets plenty of calories into you, and is also quite thick so can help you feel as though you have at least something in your stomach.

rest is the best thing for that kinda pain... and paracetamol. :-) if you can't eat, just drink plenty of fluids to keep things moving and working. anything liquid is good, whether sweet, savory, or plain ol' water. take a vitamin if you can-chewable is better than the bullet-sized ones.
feel better soon.

huh! those are the little guns- but it ALL depends on the bacteria and its sensitivities. you're a healthy fire bomb, so it should be okay. :-)
if you're still feeling bleck after a few days, let your office know. i hope i don't need to tell you that, but i will anyway!

excellent! :-) something in and down is always something!
if you're nauseated (not from coughing, but from what you have) try the BRAT diet. excellent for poorly folk.
hot packs/bottles for aching backs is another excellent idea.
