I have no sympathy for Mitchell, who admitted intolerant behaviour towards people doing their job whether he used the word "pleb" or not, but it's quite important to establish whether a police officer gave false evidence and it's possible for both sides to be at fault. Thirty officers-worth seems a bit extreme, mind you.
