Oh god, poor Mary :( but good on her for spelling out what was actually being said about her, too many people (particularly the privileged) put their head in the sand about online abuse. It makes me sick that even some of the comments on her blog were trying to explain it away as teenaged nerds in their parents' basements. It's not, there are huge numbers of men of all ages and classes who hate women who dare to have opinions and an intellect and are quite happy to put them down in misogynistic ways which have *nothing* to do with the original argument.

This feels so similar to the Anita Sarkeesian thing from last March. Horrible.
