I'm not sure how widely applicable James Graham's comments about Labour campaigning harder against Lib Dem incumbents than Tory ones are, but it doesn't fit what I saw at my end of Calder Valley - I saw more activity from Labour than any other party (not that it did them any good).

It certainly matched what I saw in Greater Manchester, where an all-out effort got them a 12,000 majority in Withington, while they lost Bolton East and failed to gain Bury North - both with campaigns that had less dorrstep impact than Withington.
