... researching Doxxing, the various forms it takes, and what can be done about it in various jurisdictions. In many it turns out the answer is "not very much, and what CAN be done is expensive". I now feel unclean.

Why are people such arseholes?

Glad to see your legal training getting some use!

It may be worth looking at what campaigning is going on to get legislation passed on this - I know there was a serious effort in California a few years ago (presumably driven by the large number of TV/movie celebrities in that state who get stalked a lot).

I'd have thought that an E&W law on this would be pushing at an open door to get tacked onto the next omnibus Criminal Justice Bill, which is usually every couple of years.

If there's a good legal example in one jurisdiction, then getting others to pass legislation based on that example can be surprisingly easy.

Hmm. Is it possible to make "Sharing true information about a person" illegal?

"Incitement to harrassment" strikes me as a better avenue of attack. But I do not have a legal mind of any type.
