A snipping from Google Analytics

Holy shit, you guys...

a screencap from google analytics

My regular readership is not tiny. Yesterday was... impressive.
Most people looked at more than one post, too.
And links came from EVERYWHERE: obviously, twitter was by far the biggest source of links; Lib Dem Voice, HuffPo, and fellow LDs like Zoe O'Connell and Nick Barlow were also expected, but... Mumsnet? Two different Liverpool local websites? Outpost Gallifrey? And DuckDuckGo, which implies people were searching for me...

Genuinely kind of bowled over here.

Several of my friends shared it onwards to not-your-usual-readership. I imagine that happened in a lot of directions!

I found friends sharing links to it entirely independent of me :-)

I have a coworker who is totally the OG hipster. He's been sporting the hipster beard and hipster glasses frames for yeeeeears, he makes lovely culinary creations, his wife is an artist who one of her former students duplicated his wife's artwork on his wife, and he's all about Scandinavian furniture.

He's passing on his hipster genes to his two cute sons

Will fame make you unbearably smug?

The correct answer to this is definitely NO!
The reasoning used to reach the answer may differ for some people.
Hope you enjoy your brighter spotlight and find more ways to make good use of it.

I just looked at my Twitter stats for my tweet of it, and it got 334 RTs (so far, there's still more coming) and 3,567 link clicks. No idea quite why my tweet of it got RTed so much, but you genuinely struck a chord with a lot of people.

It's a great post, though I am now attempting to explain poly to my aunt on Facebook. Without outing my poly sibling. We have got to "like Mormons?"...
