I certainly prefer weight training, but I got enough odd reactions from my friends that I wound up saying things like "if you're lucky enough to find it interesting."

I've just discovered that I like weight training too. It was way more fun than I'd expected.

For a new (to me) recipe, I will follow instructions as faithfully as I can the first time so I can see how it's "supposed" to taste. Any future repeats are likely to be heavily tweaked to suit my palate and preferences...

I genuinely enjoyed weight training, before I got too sick for it.

As far as recipes go, I wing it. I've always used them as a sort of guide. For instance, this coming weekend, I'ma do pork shoulder steaks in the slow cooker for the first time, and I'm mixing two different recipes from my slow cooker recipe book, one for the pork, and the veggies from a lamb shanks one. I'm sure it's going to be delicious.
