I won an election! Also, house-moving is hell.

I have been elected to the executive committee of LGBT+ Lib Dems, and my term of office starts in January. I am sad to see that lots of the people I voted for didn't get in, including the person I gave my first preference to, but I shall represent those missing voices to the best of my ability.

I'm really glad the term of office doesn't start till January; hopefully by then the house should be something approaching shipshape. If anyone wants to come and visit and have a nosey you will be most welcome. We have lots more room now. You'd be especially welcome if you

1. have a car and can help us ferry stuff over from the old house, because I think my dad is getting weary; or


2. have lots of lumps of wood available which would be suitable for making shelves and fancy helping me to install them.

Any such persons would be welcomed with tears of pathetic gratitude and probably home made buns. Having three massive bookworms in the same house is going to prove rather a strain on shelving.
