- Going to see my old maths teacher, who adores Shrubby. She's mostly wheelchairbound now, so we did a bit of gardening for her (i.e. Shrubby filled the watering can and watered everything repeatedly) and chatted generally, while my dad sorted out the design for her daughter's wedding cake.

- taking Byron for a long walk in the woods, and having my phone play music while we were walking

- Choosing a stupidly steep path out, and having to slide down on our bottoms, with much giggling, and people at the bottom of the path looking shocked at fast approaching AC/DC.

- playing with Darcy from next door and her pet snails.

- lots of fun with (washable) felt tip pens. Witness:

Your Shrublette Needs YOU!
Your Shrublette Needs YOU!

That seems to me to have been a very productive afternoon. And now she's insisting on listening to Mitch Benn's Musical Version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar over and over again...

:D

Not sure it works, tried flipping the image, it made it more cluttered:

Went for Century Old style, it's not a bad little font and is close enough while still being usably clear.

I'd maybe play with the text positioning a bit on that. Have you got the "your Shrublette needs" as separate layers or one layer?

It ended up as one layer but I can separate them out easily; what were you thinking?

Works, definitely; trying to do it exactly as the poster doesn't, the top text is too small.

If there was more bottom to the picture it would work, or if I could be arsed isolating her on a cream background...
