Just as a matter of interest, when did you create the blog feed? I did the one I mention about 8 months ago, when I first linked him on the LC netcast...

His bad in this case. In the sidebar he links to the Feedburner feed. In the top navigation he links to one RSS feed. The auto discover gives you a slightly different variant on the same RSS feed. So LJ could have 3 different accounts without triggering duplication anyway, notwithstanding the Feedburner duplication tricks you can pull.

There's a WP plugin to consolidate all feeds, and support requests are possible to merge them (I've done that a few times), but it doesn't really matter.
