Miss Holly's Class Assembly

amazing_holly had her class assembly today. Every Friday one of the classes does the assembly and all the parents can come and watch, and they have a theme. Today's theme was royalty. So they sang Old King Cole while one of the teachers played violin and things like that. Part of the assembly was that five or six of the children had drawn pictures of what they would do if they were queen (or king) and they stood up and showed their pictures and read a little speech off the back of the picture.

Holly was last in the line, which was front and centre of the stage.

They stood up, and each child read their little speech. One of the girls said that if she was queen she would have a cook who would cook chocolate pudding for her every day. Another wanted to go to her mum's workplace and boss everybody about. One of the boys would make himself captain of the football team and score all the goals... You know what Holly said she would do? Send cards to lots of people to cheer them up. And her picture features her sitting on her throne, with a big pile of cards, next to a postbox with a heart on it.
