Has been fabulous. As those of you who have been following my squeeful tweets will know. Bradford getting declared city of film really kicked things off with a bang, Flash on the big screen was amazing, even if the sound could have been better. Madhouse was hilarious. Satanic Rits of Dracula was... well, it was Satanic Rites of Dracula. The Short films were great this year, and featured a cameo from festival director Tony Earnshaw as a zombie (Note to self: get revenge on him for pulling my hair)... And then tonight was a GORGEOUS 70mill print of Aliens. Which, you know, I'm for Ridley Scott over James Cameron, but Aliens has Newt and Vasquez and pisses all over the Bechdel test.

And there's still a day to go :D

Seriously, folks, if you're anywhere near Bradford come on over for the Sunday. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

And while you're there, pick up a "what would you like to see next year" form when you get your tickets and put Dark City on it for me. ;)

Is there are other means (like the internet) in which one can add an opinion to 'what would you like to see next year?'

Certainly your weekend sounds a lot of fun. Mine? Revision so not really much fun.

Yup, I plan to sort out a list of films and submit them later, they're quite keen on using the net to promote stuff now, after we sort of showed them how last year.

I'm also thinking of a poll.

Might I suggest 'Scanners' or I am just odd in wondering how well the exploding head scene plays on the big screen? I think I made the rather lame suggestion of 'Ghostbusters' last year when replying to some post SB made on last year's weekend.

'Dark City' is a good one; with a remake/reboot/reimagining(delete as to your preference) on its way perhaps Robocop. I imagine with the right crowd other eighties greats like 'The Lost Boys', 'Fright Night', 'The Monster Squad' might make for a fun screening.

Lost Boys or Fright Night would both be FAB.

Well, it would certainly be a better double bill than Lost Boys/Lost Boys 2 : The Tribe.
