Thanks for all your recs so far. The thing I am loving about Spotify, and that I didn't realise until moviegrrl mentioned that you could do it, is collaborative playlists! So I have made my girl power list collaborative, which means you all can go and add to it if you like. If you've not got spotify yet, you can get it from here. It works on the LJ model - free accounts have ads, and you can pay to be adless - and the ads haven't been too intrusive and annoying so far.

So, if anyone wants me to set them up a playlist, or to help collaborate on one, if you think I might know some music you don't, or whatever, just point me at your playlist.

I'm finding it frustrating that some of the songs I want aren't on there. I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down by Ann Peebles, for example.

I am in absolute adoration of the collaborative playlist, which is how I managed to put together my ultimate covers list earlier in the week. Yay Spotify!

Oo - to be somewhat random I was doing a YouGov Prize Survey in which Spotify was mentioned and which one's opinion was asked on the issue of filesharing, downloads, et cetra versus the compact disc.

A few political questions too - how likely is Gordon Brown to lead Labour to victory in the next general election? Would someone else (like Alan Johnson) be more likely? And whether you support, oppose or don't know on various changes that your chap has put on the political agenda - though neither Mister Clegg nor the LDs are name checked.

I also have an angry playlist, but that's much smaller because it tends to be a very specific sort of shouting along I want to do when I'm pissed off.

Spotify are hoping to have all the music ever at some stage, but obviously there are gaps right now. Although no I Love Rock n Roll is a bloody big gap...
