[personal profile] awesomegore is pondering a new car. She has mentioned she might like an Elise to upstage her Evil Housemate of Doom, who has just bought a new car to pwn her little MX5. My suggestion is that, for one who has the personality and convictions of Ms Gore, there's only one car which is incapable of being upstaged. Jag XKR, British Racing Green, Cream leather.

It's a Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag. I'm sorry, I didn't deliver the Focus leaflets. I left them in the Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag. Yes, I did run over your kitten, but I did it in a Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag. People will forgive you ANYTHING in a Jag, in fact, more than that, people will feel AFFECTION for you, even as you're doing them over, because you're clearly a Bond villain, or other rogueish yet strangely forgiveable person if you drive a Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag. And if there's one thing that says Charlotte, it's roguish, but strangely forgiveable.

What say you, oh all knowing f-list?

Naw. The Caterham R500 is for ME. It's not a Charlotte car at all.

The Caterham is definitely a Jennie car. You are not a number!

I have wanted one since I was tiny. As opposed to just ickle, like I am now.

Definitely a Jaaaaaaaaag for our Charlotte; though not an XKR. She needs a suitably villainous-looking car with more traditional, classical bodywork that has just a touch of menace about it and still goes like a bomb. Something like the 420s or S-types that invariably used to crop up going over cliffs in old episodes of The Saint or The Champions, and preferably in sinister shiny black with red Connolly leather seats if BRG is not available.

Ah, but she likes her sports cars. I could see her in an XJ220...

In fact, thinking about it, the Jensen Interceptor would be a *very* awesomegore kind of car...

It has to be a Jaaaaaaaaaaag. Get a Jaaaaaaaaag and you're set for life. Make mine a black XK-R.

Oh no, I have had a soft spot for Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaags for a lot of years. But I'd want a much older one than that - something like an XJ120 for me.

oo that's a whole world of shiny right there.

We just need to get on the political gravy train first though ;)

That'd be my third vehicle, after Daytona 675 and Caterham. So yeah, mucho gravy required. I always said if I won the lottery, I'd build an enormous garage, with a little flat above it to live in...

I don't know if Charlotte's budget will stretch to a Carver, brother mine. Although Stealth Black does sound intriguing...

Having had a ride in my sort-of brother-in-law's Elise a month or two back, I had to vote for the Elise. It was like nothing I've experienced before. But if Lamborghini ever get the Estoque into production, she should sell the Elise and buy one of those instead.

Not a fan of the MX-5, I'm afraid, and Jags give me the creeps given that the psychotic ex boyfriend of a friend of mine was obsessed with them. In fact, so obsessed that he ran over her leg with one.

On the other hand, one of my favourite people in the entire world has a Lotus Elise, in blue. Yummy!
