Blog Awards
Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 11:51 amToday appears to be award day. I am at 117 in the Total Bollocks chart, up from 165 last year, which is not bad to say that all That Tory Blogger's mates will have voted. I've made myself a slightly amended button. Anyone who wants one doing of any of the other images, it's a five minute job, so do let me know:

The nominations are also out for the botties, and I'd particularly like to congratulate Caron, Grouchy, and Millennium. Perhaps the year of Fluffy Justice is here at last? C'mon judges, put aside your cuddly toy prejudice and vote fluffy. Don't be predictable and pick Charlotte or Mark or Costigan. You know it makes fluffy sense.
Now I have to organise decorations for the Losers' Table. Perhaps I could get Mat to bake some special cookies...

Date: Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 11:18 am (UTC)For what it's worth, here's an excerpt from my nominations to the powers that be:
"• Liberal Democrat Blog of the Year: Jennie Rigg, because it would annoy her to be kicked of the Perpetual Losers’ Table and more importantly because I think one of the main points of the blogosphere is to engage new people and not just disappear up our own backsides. I bet you Jennie’s is read by more non political activists than any other Lib Dem blog . She’s fabulous in a million different ways and her outrageous irreverence should be celebrated."

Date: Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 11:25 am (UTC)My head feels as though it's about to explode - too many F1 stories to cope with, Lotus on grid, BMW saved, Pat Symonds offered immunity.....as well as blogging excitement. I need some smelling salts:-)

Date: Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 11:18 am (UTC)Some peculiar choices in that 300 though, and I'm not just saying it because I'm not there this year.

Date: Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 10:41 pm (UTC)(I can't "make sure of" anything on the shortlist, happily. There's not a collective discussion, it's all private voting of our individual top fives and adding them up, and I've no idea how the others voted. But obviously, to spread this simple intelligence around would be to stop people from conspiracy fantasising about the collective agenda and prejudices of the judges and generally having a marvellous time *headdesk*)

Who does the counting? I'm thinking of the old Stalin quote about it not being the casting of votes, but the counting of them...

Date: Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 04:48 pm (UTC)You're right though, if me, Quist and Mark got absolutely nothing it would make for a great night for everyone except us three. :)

Date: Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 10:28 pm (UTC)Thank you VERY MUCH for all your support. Fluffy HUGS!
I do hope I will still be allowed at your table, though; I would MUCH rather sit with you than win a plastic cup!
Fortunately, I do not think that I will win - surely it is between Charlotte and Wicked Uncle Costigan. And HOORAH for Bloggers from not-the-South-East! Though Ms Caron is an interesting choice too... could it be Scotland's year?
Luv from
Millennium
