- Cancer killed Natalie Morton - don't let it kill your daughter. A superlative post from Sara - and here's one from Caron along similar lines. This post by Malcolm Coles shows the importance of as many people as possible spreading accurate information about this, and not linking to the Daily Fail's hysterical scare stories.
- And speaking of Daily Fail Evil... Mind you, I think my views on the matter cleave more to
burkesworks's than those of Mark Reckons linked above. - Why you should persuade your council to implement RSS feeds on their website. (hat-tip Count Packula)
- The Samosa looks like it's going to be an interesting group blog. I'd like to have easily accessible feed links on there, like, but you can't have everything. (hat tip Laurie Penny)
- The Roman Polanski thing is rumbling on. The number of people leaping to his defence - Woody Allen wasn't a massive surprise, but Terry Gilliam? Angelica Huston? - plus the fact that he reportedly thinks everyone wants to fuck little girls makes me really worried about how widespread this is in the film industry. Still, props to Denis McShane and Luc Besson. And people wonder why when someone is raped by someone they know they aren't going to report it. Why I didn't report it. Who would want to go through not only being doubted and pilloried, but seeing people you admire rush to the defence of your attacker...
