I see Cleggy has been asked to pay something back, and Cameron has only been asked for further information. So much for trying to differentiate ourselves from the others in the eyes of the public... And yes, before everyone leaps down my throat, I know the details, and I know that we weren't as bad. But Our Glorious Leader being asked to pay back expenses for gardening? If that doesn't feed into the they're all the same, all in it for themselves, all claiming for stuff normal people have to pay for out of their own pockets narrative, then I don't know what will.

For Cthulhu's sake, Cleggy, if you want your garden done, I'm your girl! You don't have to pay £900 to some spod!

I do sometimes wonder if I'm the only one who doesn't really care about claims that were made within the system.

Yes the system was a bit shit, and MPs were able to claim for a lot of stuff that perhaps they shouldn't have been able to claim for - but the rules allowed for it. So my view is just that the expenses system should be restructured, and claims from that point on should be reviewed to ensure they are within the new system.

Anyone who has fraudulently claimed should face a criminal investigation for fraud. But as for the rest, I find it had to vilify people for making the most of what is available to them.

Sure, maybe they should set a good example or whatever, but I find it hard to get worked up over this.

Yeah that looks bad, will be over shadowed by Brown though. Did you see he's paying back £12,415, front page of every news website. As Brown says though, he isn't in politics for what he can get, but what he can give back!

My dad seemed to take utter joy out of the fact Clegg is due to pay back that money. Stupid twat said he assumed I thought he was OMGZ AMAZING and could never ever do such a thing. Bah, I'm sorry but I'm not a sheeple, I know people in all walks of life do such a thing.

Still, disappointed he spent that on gardening. Gardens are not that important at the moment; you do not need to spend £900 on what is probably some small garden that would only really need £50 spent to make it look okay.
