But I really love it when Shrub asks for something that Ian hates for tea.

Sitting here and hearing:
Shrub: I love broccoli, mummy!
Ian: *heavy sigh*
Shrub: Mmmm this tomato is yummy, mummy, thank you
Ian: *hmph!*
Shrub: You make the best pasta, mummy

... it's all I can do to keep myself from breaking into Maniacal LaughterTM!

And I have had a good news/bad news situation: the good news is that Sam West is on t'telleh on Friday and I will have a lovely ogling opportunity; the bad news is that he's in Midsomer Murders, and I will therefore have to watch ITV. Woe.

Title: Evil From The Dawn of Time (because one can never OVERuse a quote like that ;))
Rating: 18 for lots of gore and violence and nasty deaths (and ginger curls)
Prompt: 5. Power has run out. One of the characters says they will go outside and fix this. They do not return. There is a scraping noise on the roof, which turns out to be a man grinning psychotically and swinging the decaptitated head of the character who went outside1.
Era: Six/Mel
Spoilers: Some quite serious ones for the denouement of the Tigon film “The Creeping Flesh” 2. Because I’m honest, I’ll also admit to “borrowing” a major plot idea from the film The Shadow of the Vampire. There are lots of other Who/horror/sci-fi references in there; therefore this posting has geeky endnotes explaining them all.
Word Count: 6712
Notes: This was written for the Halloween Challenge in [livejournal.com profile] dwliterotica. It hasn't got much sex in it (sorry, those of you who got excited by the comm name) but it DOES have lashings of blood and gore and violence to make up for that.

* deep breath *

here we go, then )

Anyhoo, I hope you all enjoyed reading that as much as I enjoyed writing it. And thanks to my lovely betas [livejournal.com profile] pmoodie (Creeping Flesh Expert) and [livejournal.com profile] missdiane (woman from neither fandom to check comprehensibility).
